Goodbye Twitter… Hello whatever comes ahead.
I’ll make it short (i’ll have a longer post when i calm down a bit).
This is where i am now.
Multiple attempts to appeal… all come back with this.
So…
When i think of “counterfeit goods” i think of walking down Canal Street back in the day, where there was store after store of “quality merchandise” from such brands as POLEX, APMANI, CUGGI and WERSACE. I can tell you with full certainty that i wasn’t doing that type of thing.
But…
As i look through the last day or so worth of posts on Twitter, i see phrases like “BMG Clone”, “Sunlu rebadge” and “Prusa Clone”. I can see how an AI specifically made to target counterfeits would hit on those phrases as red flags.
Or…
It’s also possible that it’s not an AI, and someone like Prusa reported my account to Twitter.
Whatever the reason, the end result is the same – @PLAFantastic on Twitter is dead.
I’ve gone through at least 5-6 rounds with Twitter trying to get the suspension removed, even if temporarily so i can say goodbye and point people to wherever i’m going next – no luck. I offered to nuke all my tweets, therefore deleting all possible mentions of anything “counterfeit” – nope. All i get back from them is the same exact thing – either screenshot 1, or screenshot 2. Just a robotic auto-reply, which always comes back less than a minute after i contact them. Meaning – no human is looking at this, and this is all handled by their AI/bots.
There is a phone number to call, and i will try that today, but i don’t have much hope for anything coming out of it. I’m kind of doing it just so i know that i exhausted all avenues of appeal, before giving up. In reality – i gave up, and am planning for life without Twitter.
Luckily, i launched Puke Alpha just before it happened. And while out of my 950+ Twitter followers maybe 20 or so actually know about it, and remember where to find it, it’s still better than getting cut off completely.
And while Puke Alpha’s presence does soften the blow a bit, make no mistake – this was a devastating blow.
Basically – i’m starting over from scratch.
Puke Alpha will be improved over the next few days/weeks, and will become the primary source of all deals. The site has all the features i want, and could possibly need to do this… just needs some fine tuning to make it all work, and look nice.
For social media – i’m setting up on Facebook, Telegram and Discord.
Facebook group is already up. Empty, but up. I’ll announce the Telegram channel, and Discord server by this time tomorrow (still playing around to see how i want to set things up).
Skipping looking for deals for today to focus my attention on all these other things i suddenly find myself dealing with.
