Reminder – use Feeds for updated filament deals.
There are currently two pages with automated feeds on this site – Amazon Today’s Deals, and Filament Feeds.
Today’s Deals feed is busted for Prime Day….
Actually, that’s not really accurate – it’s working great, it’s just that Amazon changed the definition of “Today’s Deal” to include pretty much EVERYTHING. So instead of the usual 60-70 entries, there is now almost 2,000….. a slightly larger number 🙂
The feed is set to work with 100+ entries. It rarely has more than 90. I’ve tested it up to 1,000, and it worked fine, although a bit slow. Still, there is no way i’m going to change it to suck up 2,000 entries live during Prime Day…. that’s just not a smart move.
So, i kind of left that feed alone. It’s mostly nonsense now, since it’s picking up all the lowest priced stuff only, and only for the first 100 or so entries. It should go back to being it’s normal, much more useful self, when Amazon goes back to normal.
This is the first Prime Day i’m running with automation involved, so this is the first time i’m running into this… lesson learned.
All that said….
Filament Feeds are working great 🙂
Sort by lowest price, or price drop. Updated hourly.
At some point soon these feeds will be integrated into the Filament section of the site, but for now they still occasionally bug out, so i’m still keeping them sandboxed in their own section.
