Some thoughts on the sales happening now, and some poke around links…
So…
I can’t say that this Black Friday sales are bad, but i can’t say that they are great either. They are the very definition of “meh”, especially since this is supposed to be “THE sale” of the year.
To best describe what i’m seeing…
I’ve been posting the Amazon Lightning Deal Schedule for close to a year now. And it’s basically the same items by the same sellers, rotating from day to day, often at the same identical prices. This Black Friday on Amazon is pretty much all these same sellers, selling all the same items at the same exact prices (or super close to it) as Lightning Deals. The big difference is that they’re not taking turns from day to day, and all have their deals up at the same time. So in the end – there are a lot of deals, but nothing that really stands out. Like i said – kind of ‘meh for Black Friday.
BTW… Amazon is now done with Black Friday, and has moved on to Cyber Monday, which means…….. the same exact items from the same exact sellers are there at the same exact prices, but now the little red label next to the price says Cyber Monday, instead of Black Friday 🙂
AliEx is dealing, but also – a lot of the same items at the same prices as usual (aka during the last sale, and the sale before it), etc. I want something “crazy”, but haven’t found it yet…

Amazon can be weird with their linking… if you don’t see a bunch of red Cyber Monday labels all over the place, click on the sidebar on the left side and select “Cyber Monday deals”. The links should take you there automatically, but for some reason often misfire.

Amazon links are pretty straight forward – they show what’s on sale in a category. AliEx links are algo generated. What you’ll see in SuperDeals and Coupon Center pages depends entirely on what AliEx thinks you’re interested in. Even the main 3D printing category will look different for everyone, since it’s arranged to bring up the sellers AliEx thinks you’ll like to the front.
