Black Friday is over… we’re in the middle of Cyber Monday now.

Technically that’s over on Monday for Amazon and Ebay, and on Wednesday for AliEx. However, at least on Amazon, some of the deals will kind of just hang around – little label that says “Cyber Monday Deal” will disappear, but prices will remain the same for a few more days.
It’s been a good stretch of sales and deals in the last month or so, but it’s about to slowly come to an end, and then start almost going in reverse. Once next week is over, sales will start drying up, prices will start going back to normal, etc. There will still be some deals here and there as sellers want to catch some more of Christmas shopping, but once Christmas actually hits – it’s kind of over, and it tends to stay like that for a while.
January is traditionally the slowest month, with the worst/highest prices for the year. February is not much better, with a huge chunk of it completely dead for the two week holiday of Chinese New Year. Things usually don’t really start to “defrost” until early spring, with prices starting to get back closer to “not terrible” as we get near the summer.
My point is – enjoy it while you can, it will not last for much longer. If you need to stock up, the next couple of days may be your last chance for the next few months.
As i mentioned, Ebay and Amazon sales officially end on Monday night (overnight). That’s when Ebay coupon expires, and Amazon removes the “Cyber Monday” label and replaces it with their usual “Limited Time Deal” one. I already picked off some of the better deals, and will take another look today to see if i can get lucky, and maybe scrape something decent from the bottom of the barrel.
AliEx, however, is a little trickier. We do have an extra day, but most of the deals involve checkout codes that expires overnight tonight. They have two sets of codes issued right now – one is a set of monthly (wacky) codes, and the other is the code they issued for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale. In most cases, the monthly codes are better, which is why i used them on pretty much 90% of the deals i posted.
So, today is the last day for AliEx with these codes working. They will expire overnight. From there it’s entirely possible that a whole new set will be issued, or that these exact same codes (AliEx tends to reuse them) will come back to life…. but it’s also unlikely. AliEx doesn’t always have monthly codes to begin with (they were gone for almost 2 years, until recently coming back this September), so there is no guarantee that they will come back at all. Plus, since being back, they tend to be issued/revived during second week of the month. Once these monthly codes expire, we fall back to the sales codes AliEx issued for Black Friday…. which are not bad, just not as good as the monthly.
