Prime Day is Almost Here… Today’s Deals Page is your source for Prime Day Deals…

Deals start to come out overnight. For everything in our section – check Today’s Deals Page for browse, or the new #todays-deals on Discord for updates.
An important note about Today’s Deals Page on the site, vs what you will see on Amazon Tomorrow.
If you go to the Additive Manufacturing category on Amazon (aka “our section”) right now, you will see two different options for “Deals & Discounts” – Today’s Deals and All Discounts.
Today’s Deals has deals that are “registered” with Amazon. They all have start and end times, and they tend to be from at least somewhat established sellers. Right now, as i’m typing this, that section is showing 3 pages (max 24 items on page), but typically it’s about 5’ish or so.
All Discounts is a catch-all Amazon uses for anything that it thinks had a price drop… or something like that. I have been doing this for years, and i still have no idea how some of these items make it in there. It’s a giant mess, but there are deals there to be had there. Right now that section is showing 166 pages.
So one section is 3 pages, the other one is 166… “slight” difference 🙂
I don’t know how they are going to play this tomorrow, but every single Prime Day or Black Friday before this Amazon did something i hate – they merged the two sections into one called Prime Day Deals, or something similar. They then slap the Prime Day Deal label on all the items. So suddenly those 160+ pages in All Discounts are now Prime Day Deals.
So, if you go to Amazon tomorrow and try to find deals in our section, you will most likely be greeted with a 160+ (probably more, since more stuff will go on sale) “journey” to actually find something.
A few Prime Day sales back i switched the site to make sure it only uses the data from Amazon’s schedule for Today’s Deals Page. So site’s Today’s Deals Page continues to work as it always did – picking up “registered” deals, and ignoring the mess in All Discounts.
So,, yeah… it actually should be much easier to flush out the real Prime Day deals here on the site, than it is on Amazon 🙂
