FDDFLY HDMI KVM Switch (2 monitors, 4 pc, EDID)
I picked the most capable/expensive option, check the promo link for the rest…
If you’re planning to flip between pc’s often – EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) is a must. It will ensure that each time you switch from one computer to another all your programs and windows stay where you left them. Without EDID, it will think that the monitor is shut off, and will resize all the open windows to 640×480 and place them in the bottom corner…. incredibly annoying, especially with multiple monitors.
Some caveats to this…
EDID and high refresh do not play nice together, so it’s one or the other. If you need a KVM that can hit 240hz, etc, look for one with DisplayPort connections. DisplayPort does not support EDID. Another thing to keep in mind – most modern desktop GPUs do not have multiple HDMI connections. It’s usually one HDMI, and multiple DisplayPorts. So an HDMI to DisplayPort converter/adapter may be needed.
