Some minor bugginess ahead for the next few days…
Finally updating the site with some much needed improvements.
Everything has been tested on the local test site and works fine, but once live weird things could happen.
First order of business – improving performance. Site can bog down waaaaay too much for the small amount of traffic it hosts, so i implemented a new cache schema which looks to have improved things a bit.
One known bug so far – thumb counter doesn’t refresh after update. It will work, and will register your vote, but will not look like it did on the page, until cache refreshes. Fixable bug, that should go away relatively soon.
Outside of that, hard to tell if anything else is affected. There is only so much testing that can be done on local, especially when it comes to mobile devices which account for almost 80% of the site’s traffic.
So a lot of this is very much “trial by fire: 🙂
