Filament Feed is back.
Just one this time (no alt feed). Feeds for Resin and Printers will most likely be back tomorrow. Parts are still a giant mess, and while i think i figured out how i want to handle it, it’s probably best to wait until after Prime Day for that part.
To help with filtering i’m trying something new – Deal Score. My current grid doesn’t really have a place where i can put it, so it’s the first thing in the title, and it’s been added as one of the sort options.
Deal Score is still very much experiment and needs fine tuning. For now it’s still misfires or simply gets fooled by some items, but that should improve over time.
The way it’s supposed to work:
Check current price drop against 1, 7, 30 and 90 history to see how it compares, AND check against the lowest price for the item in the last 90 days. When calculating the score preference is given to the value of the later price drops, but also items that are closest to their lowest price.
This means that in some cases items with low, or even no discount may show up. This is because they are already close to or at their lowest price.
Like i said – still experimental, and needs fine tuning, but it’s “helpful” even in it’s current form.
Babysitting it today, so uploads are mostly manual (easier to check for errors/bugs, etc), but as of midnight this will be going back to automatic. Updates are every 3 hours – 2, 5, 8, 11. It takes a few minutes for everything to upload, so starting tomorrow – check in at about 20 past the update hours, and you should be seeing the latest batch, etc.
