PFD is now global (kind of sort of)… and X/Twitter is going “full service”.
Someone cue Pitbull… i need someone to scream “Mr. Worldwide” in the raspiest voice possible, while completely off key 🙂
So, Amazon is trying a new program for affiliates where deals that get posted are now available worldwide. Meaning, if the same item exists on one of Amazon’s other marketplaces, the link takes the local user to the same exact product on that marketplace. Canada is definitely in play already (i’ve been asked to fill out Canadian tax forms), i think Germany is either live now, or about to be, and other countries are to follow.
This doesn’t mean that the item posted as a good deal for US will be a good deal in Germany, or Mexico, etc. But at least it’s now available to site visitors from “elsewhere”.
X/Twitter is going “full service” starting tomorrow…
Currently automatic notifications for all deals go out to Telegram and Discord. I still manually post 3d printing related deals on Reddit and X/Twitter. Reddit will continue to be pure 3d printing only. X/Twitter will now feature all posts on the site, including the stuff that shows up in the “Other” section. I’ve been posting on this X account close to a year now, and the organic growth i was hoping for is just not happening as is. So, this is an attempt to breathe some life into it, before i give up on it completely. Will give it a couple of months of regular posts, before making the decision.
