It’s just a different type of coating.
PEY allows for more graphical (usually sparkly) type of designs on the bed. PEI is more about texture, PEO is smooth patterns, etc.
I have no idea where to even begin describing H1H 🙂
I was wondering what polymer the coating is made of. I have a patterned plate, but I’m pretty sure it’s just PET. It behaves differently from PEI and basically fuses into PETG prints unless temp is very low. So I was wondering if PEY is actually just patterned PEI, which I’d like
PEI (Polyetherimide) – plastic coating, with elements added for heat resistance.
PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) – plastic coating, usually carbon based, less durable than PEI
PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) – ceramic oxide coating, formed on top of metals. Supposedly good for engineering plastics, but at the same time has bad heat resistance, and can wear out quickly.
PEY – same as PEO, but with more “graphic’ designs, and slightly less durability.

PEI is still king for heat resistance, scratch resistance, etc.
