I think it says the kit doesn’t include the Gemini motherboard also

I didn’t see that. Just looked again, and still don’t see that. Possible i’m missing it somewhere in that wall of text/images that is their listing, but it would be surprising – they typically include the board.

So, i’m pretty sure the board is included, just the parts are extra $30.

There is another listing for .2 R1 that has a kit option without board as stated in description. This one should include it.

$30 for printed parts seems like a very reasonable price.

Can also upgrade to Dragon hotend for ~$45, which seems worth it to me.
